A Home For a Spider

KO (this morning, calling from the top of the stairs): Mum!!!!! Is it alright if I make a home for a spider?
Me: Sure.
KO: Because spiders are living creatures too, aren’t they mum?
Me: That’s right.
[Several hours later, I walk up the stairs, and stop at a pile of rubble below a strip of the wall, about 50cm long and 10cm high, where the plaster has been chipped off the wall.]
Me: KO!!!!!! Did you break the wall?!
KO (appears at the foot of the stairs, looking up at me wide-eyed, looking a bit worried): I made a home for a spider.
D’oh!!!
